A vintage card for Mom

I created this card for the Mother's Day challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, using this weeks sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy: First, the SALS sketch:
My card:
This beautiful vintage image is from Digital Two for Tuesday . "Mom" is made with Inspired Stamps' Labelmaker Alphabet. Prismacolor pencils w/ Gamsol mineral spirits. Fiskars border punch. "Happy Mother's Day" rubber stamp by Inkadinkado. My Mom passed away before I started making cards. I think she would have liked this one! Have a great day! Come back soon.

Sherry, What a lovely card. I'm loving the vintage feel more and more each day. I just need to learn how to do them myself. That could be a trick .Have a fabulous day.

Your first card is a lovely design. I love that flourish.

Your vintage card is just stunning. The coloring makes me want to get my pencils out. I put my Gamsol in a babyfood jar with a couple of makeup sponges. I just hit the sponges to dampen to the tortilons.

I always enjoy your vintage cards, Sherry, especially because I can't make them! LOL Sorry I've been scarce lately, but working two jobs is really keeping me busy. I signed up for an NSD 4-day scrapbook retreat back in November and I'm heading out tomorrow. I hope I get lots accomplished!

Now for the "official" stuff - thanks for playing along at Seems A Little Sketchy. Hope to see you back again for another sketchy challenge! :-)
