One more for a Bright Colors challenge

I had fun today coloring this little clear stamp from Inspired Stamps. I've had the stamp for a few years; I hope it is still available at the Etsy shop! I like to say these stamps have "inspired eyes"!

I'm posting this card at Send A Smile 4 Kids for their Bright Colors challenge.

Since today is the last day of May, I'll call this my "Welcome June!" card:

Bright Colors challenge

Hello and welcome!
I just sent my first donation of cards to Send A Smile For Kids. It was just a small box of 12, but that's one of the things I like about card making -- it's about quality, not quantity. Each card hopefully makes someone happy.

Joining in the current challenge at SAS4K: Bright Colors!

This stamp has a special place in my heart. I saw it in one of the first card making magazines I bought back in 2010 when I started volunteering for Operation Write Home. The card was so beautiful it took my breath away and really helped get me hooked on card making! My card is nowhere near what I recall about that magazine card, but paper piecing is my fave technique.
Thanks for stopping by!

"Deep Blue" challenge!

The new challenge at Cards In Envy is "Deep Blue" -- use primarily deep blue colors on your card, which can now be any size, as long as it is flat enough to fit in an envelope.

The background DP is actually blue (I promise)--just couldn't get an accurate photo!

Have fun using your favorite deep blues and be sure to post at Cards In Envy!

Out of the box with #veralanestudio

I had a lot of fun today playing with my new digi set from Vera Lane Studio Designs. The set is called "Star". I love the two quotes that come with it; the one I used is a quote by Van Gogh. Playing with Vera Lane's digis has helped me grow as a card maker and try new styles and techniques.

I love looking at the stars and I had a ball making this card!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back for a visit soon. Have a good weekend!

"Just Us Girls" at Cards In Envy

Welcome! The new challenge at the Cards In Envy blog is "Just Us Girls." Remember, you can now make any size card as long as it is flat and fits in an envelope for standard mailing. Here's my card; it does have a bow, but the bow can be flattened quite nicely.

I am also posting my card at the May "Anything Goes" challenge at Crafty Individuals. I really had fun coloring this beautiful CI stamp!
