Coloring with Sandy last Sunday!

I sure got a hearty dose of Copic instruction last weekend; after I returned home from two days of Copic classes near Richmond, it was time for Sandy Allnock's StageIt coloring program! She showed us how to color this cute Tiddly Inks digi called Anna Belle Sweet Melon. I still need to beef up my Copic collection so I worked with what I have for now.

OWH Midwk Throwdown: It's About Time

I used the Hero Arts OWH "All the Time" stamp set, BoBunny Timepiece DP, and a Melissa Frances sticker.

Birdie Brown April challenge

This cute digi is the April freebie at Birdie Brown's blog. I colored it with Copics. I spent Friday and Saturday taking the Copic Standard and Intermediate classes near Richmond, VA. It was really fun and they really kept us busy! Yay, I'm Copic certified!

OWH Sketch #169

This week's sketch challenge at OWH Stars & Stamps blog is sponsored by Doodle Pantry. I rotated the sketch and used the digi set "Pen and Ink" from Doodle Pantry; it includes both colored and un-colored images as well as the two neat DPs I used for my card.

"Baby Face" card challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow

I made this card for the current "Baby Face" vintage card challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow. I "tinted" the rubber stamped image with colored pencils to resemble the tinted photographs of old. Thanks for stopping by!!

OWH April Bootcamp

The April Bootcamp session over at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog is about using odd numbers in design. We are fortunate to have Paula Spagnuolo teaching the bootcamp so check it out!! I decided to go with three's in my design. Thanks, Paula! I will also post this at the Cards In Envy Challenge, where the theme is "things that fly".

Happy Birthday, Ciara!

Ciara is Sandy Allnock's doggie and official OWH mascot. Happy birthday, Ciara!! I used the stamp your Mom designed for Stamper's Best.

The lady wore yellow and black...

At church today, the reader wore a vivid black and yellow blouse; it was really quite pretty and reminded me to make a black and yellow card to help celebrate Sandy's fantastic new craft room!! Then I made the second card, both using this week's OWH Sketch #168! Thanks for stopping over.

OWH Midweek Throwdown: favorite color combos

I would have to include lime and navy blue among my favorite color combos. The greens on this card are "lime-ier" (no such word, I know) in real life. This cute penguin digi is from Birdie Brown's Etsy shop. Colored with Copics. Glossy Accents on heart and glasses.

Things That Fly challenge

"Things That Fly" is the theme of this month's Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog. I dusted off my Stampin' Up owl punch which I haven't used in a while to make another Father's Day card. I was trying for a masculine, monochromatic look with the googlie eyes as a touch of fun. Thanks for visiting!

One more for OWH Sketch 167

This MelonHeadz pre-colored digi is great for Dads. I cut out the word "Dad" from an Outlines rubber stamp. I'd been saving that scrap of DP for a card for a gal, then I realized I could use it for a guy.

Two cowboy cards: playing with backgrounds

The Spring Training Bloghop at OWH Stars & Stamps is loaded with inspiration and instruction! The Clear Snap tutuorial got me going on trying some different backgrounds with my new cowboy rubber stamp from Crackerbox Palace. For the card on the left, I got out my Prismacolor pencils for the sky, with Bazzill's "Wayfarer" dps, and a bit of "rawhide" string which I fringed a little with scissors. The "Dad" stamp is from Outlines. For the other card, I used a multicolor pigment ink stamp pad. I also went over the stamped image with a black Copic because I couldn't seem to get a good impression. For both cards, I followed this week's OWH Sketch #167. Thanks for stopping by!

The fun of meeting an OWH friend!

Hi! When my sister and I passed through Eugene, Oregon on our recent train journey, my OWH friend, Cora, came by the station to meet me while we were stopped there! I remember the first time I visited Cora's blog and commented; she had made a beautiful set of cards featuring jungle animals and prints (one of many styles Cora is so talented at). At the Eugene station, Cora gave me an envelope chock-full of MoManning digis ready to be colored! This is one of them and I think it's so cute. I colored the image with Copics and will post this at the OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge, Tags & Twine. I think I will also post this over at Hambo Stamps, where this week's challenge is to use aqua, orange and yellow. The aqua twine is jewelry twine from A.C. Moore. Thanks so much for stopping by; and thanks, Cora!

OWH Sketch 166

Hello! I'm back from my travels and happy to get back to my cards! For this card, I used an adorable pre-colored Melonheadz Illustrating digi and OWH Sketch 166. DPs are from Lawn Fawn. I had to turn on Comment Verification because of spam. Have you had that problem? Thanks SO much to my crafty friends for visiting and commenting!
