"Let Me Count the Ways"

I made a card for the current challenge at Frilly and Funkie blog: "Let Me Count the Ways". The challenge is to use 3 of something. I used three different stamps on my card. I made the background with a Gelli plate and acrylic paint.

A Vintage Sketch for Cards In Envy Farewell!

Hello! If you stopped by from the Cards In Envy Challenge, you will know that this is the final farewell challenge at Cards  In Envy, where we make cards that fit into envelopes! (Say it ain't so!!)

I first learned about Cards In Envy when I volunteered for Operation Write Home, where we made cards for our troops stationed overseas. OWH had strict rules for submitting cards, one of which was to keep the cards flat so the soldier wouldn't have to pay extra postage mailing the card home. Designing a well-made, creative, yet flat card became a fun and practical challenge I enjoy!

I have been proud to serve on our leader, the talented Sandy Trefger's, Design Team! I will miss CIE, as I know all of our regular players will! Sandy came up with a great challenge for her final farewell: Create a card using CIE's very first sketch, which was created by the late Denise Gray. Here is Denise's sketch:

And here is my final card for the Design Team:

Wishing you well and happy crafting,
