I first learned about Cards In Envy when I volunteered for Operation Write Home, where we made cards for our troops stationed overseas. OWH had strict rules for submitting cards, one of which was to keep the cards flat so the soldier wouldn't have to pay extra postage mailing the card home. Designing a well-made, creative, yet flat card became a fun and practical challenge I enjoy!
I have been proud to serve on our leader, the talented Sandy Trefger's, Design Team! I will miss CIE, as I know all of our regular players will! Sandy came up with a great challenge for her final farewell: Create a card using CIE's very first sketch, which was created by the late Denise Gray. Here is Denise's sketch:
And here is my final card for the Design Team:

Thanks for all the times you've shared your wonderful cards and joined in the fun at Cards In Envy! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll keep in touch!
Wishing you well and happy crafting,
Sherry
