Any Hero card with Stampers Best & sponging

Sandy's recent post reminded me to get out my Stampers Best stamps & digis. I also wanted to try that torn paper/sponging technique that's been displayed on some very pretty cards recently! I stamped with red and blue Ranger Distress Ink, then stamped over it with Memento Ink. I had a bit of trouble with the masking so I cut out my strip and put it over an embossed/inked cs. I added a bow and red, white & blue Candis. I'm going to write an AnyHero note in it. Thanks to Stampers Best for all it does to support OWH!

Blue & green color challenge

I had fun with this Stampers Best digi making a blue & green card for Dad. I had just made it when I saw the Blue & Green Midweek challenge at OWH! I didn't add any orange, but there are some nice neutrals in it. I colored the image with Copics; dp's are from The Linen Stack. Thanks for stopping by!

OWH Weekly Sketch Challenge

You can click on this link to see Sketch #163 at the Stars & Stamps Blog. My sister gave me a 12x12 sheet called "School Days" from the Graphic 45 ABC Primer collection; I punched out a couple of the images from the sheet to use on my card. The background papers are from one of the 6x6 My Mind's Eye pads. Those are Candi dots, which I am liking more and more. I thought this card would be nice for a hero to send either to a child or a grownup lady who ikes old-fashioned things. Have a good week!

Over the rainbow with Hambo!

This week's challenge over at the Hambo Hoedown is to use rainbow colors. I think their "Mouse Painter" digi is perfect for this challenge. I colored the image with Copics and added a rainbow swipe of color with red, blue and yellow Copic markers. Notice the rainbow-colored paint in the can, lol. The Hambo challenge is always fun! Thanks for stopping over.

"Cards in Envy" sketch challenge

I made this vintage style card for the Cards In Envy blog sketch challenge (click the link to see the sketch). I love this 1911 McCalls Magazine image from Digital Two for Tuesday. I inked the image and the paper edges with Ranger Broken China and Antique Linen distress inks. I had a teensy bit of trouble with my Pearl Pen and stamping the little butterfly in the bg, oh well! C'est la vie! My card is nice and flat, which is what Cards In Envy is all about! I hope you enjoy your weekend; thanks (merci) for stopping by!

Tic Tac Toe card: OWH Midwk Throwdown

Hello! I've been having fun practicing different color combos that we learned in Sandy's StageIt show. I just love this Mo Manning digi. For my Tic Tac Toe card I chose to use Embossing, Blue and Ribbon. The cloud embossing is by Darice; image colored with Copics. I used Sandy's technique on the t-shirt where you sponge off some of the color with Colorless Blender. Love it! Good night and thanks for stopping by.

Two cards for OWH Sketch 162

Welcome! As you can see, I turned the sketch this way and that to make the above two cards. The first card uses a Birdie Brown digi and I colored with Copics. The second uses a beautiful rose digital image from Lilac & Lavender. I will post one of these cards at the Our Daily Bread Designs monthly challenge at OWH, which is to use scallops. Thanks for stopping by!

Weekly Hambo challenge

Hello! The Hambo Hoedown challenge is brought to us this week by their new digi, Bear Cupcake, . The new challenge is to use big and small items in your creation; I used my biggest circle punches and three very small pink buttons. I had fun paper piecing this card; love the bear's oven mitts! Thanks for stopping by!
