I had every intention on this rainy day to stay in and do some paperwork (bills, filing, etc.) but when I saw the new challenge at Cards In Envy and the neat cards by the Design Team, I ended up staying in and making this spooky Halloween card!
I love vintage Halloween images and found this scary/cute image at Clearly Vintage. The house is cut from a set of black & white papers I bought at Michaels ages ago; I inked the edges and stamped the bat on it. When I was a child, we had a very spooky, overgrown house next door and it was especially scary on Halloween night! I really enjoyed making this card because we don't make scary Halloween cards at OWH for the troops to send home, besides the fact that at OWH we're already making Christmas and Valentine cards, lol. So, thanks for this fun challenge, Cards In Envy!

I'm glad you had this great challenge to make this "scary/cute" card. Love that stamped bat and your colored image against the black and white back drop. Nice touch with the black brads also. It is nice to make something a little different isn't it? Enjoy, Sherry.
Love your colored image. Great card. Thanks for playing along with us at Cards in Envy.
Sherry,
What a fun card. I love these cute Halloween images. Thank you for sharing.
I think your vintage images straddle the line between "scary" and "fun". I like how the lacy border at the bottom resembles cobwebs. It's a great card! Thanks for sharing it with us at Cards in Envy! :)
Love your spooky, scary card Sherry! The haunted house in the background is awesome and love the vintage Halloween image too! Thanks for sharing with us at Cards in Envy!
Love your background and then your vintage picture on it.
