So the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown
this week is to use this cute new "House 2-digi" and something from around the house that I wouldn't normally use on a card. I was stumped until I thought of using a page from our wall calendar and decorating the little house digi in holiday lights. I also added a few red post-it flags which I mark my hymnal pages with.
I'm sure when December rolls around I'll be scratching my head wondering where that page of my calendar went!
I colored the Hambo digi with Copics; the sentiment is a rubber stamp from "Studio 18", International Greetings. I think goes perfectly with this digi!
I also plan to post this for the color challenge sponsored by Paper & Such over at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog to use kraft, red, and black or blue. I love kraft, red and black together. With a touch of red gingham ribbon to finish it off, I ended up with a different take on a holiday card; what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!

Love your card
I love it, Sherry! And you used more than one household item. So proud of you. How did you add the Christmas lights to the house and the bushes weren't in the Hambo digi either, were they? Awesome job. Oh, and I LOVE red gingham on anything!!!
Now I've got to give some thought to what I'm going to do with that house and something around here that I can use on the card too.
Great card. What a good idea to use the calendar background & the lights are so cute on Hambo house.
How cute is this?! :) I love how you added little holiday lights to this! Way to go using all those household items! :)
