Hambo Stamps is saying 'bye and thanks to their retiring Design Team members. They have done fabulous work!
The challenge at the Hoedown this week is to CASE a card from one of the Hambo galleries.
Here's a link to a card made by Melissa Edwards, using Hambo's Cupcake Rain digi.

OWH Sketch #87
I've been wanting to use these little striped buttons and this seemed like the right card to try them! They remind me of candy canes. This is a good sketch for little scraps; I'll definitely use it again.

Happiness Blooms by D2D
I just love this pretty new digi from Designed2Delight, so I decided to leave it as a line drawing and go with a black and white palette. The digi is the Friday freebie from D2D for everyone who played last week. Thanks for stopping by!

Hambo's "Home is where the ___ is" challenge
So the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown
this week is to use this cute new "House 2-digi" and something from around the house that I wouldn't normally use on a card. I was stumped until I thought of using a page from our wall calendar and decorating the little house digi in holiday lights. I also added a few red post-it flags which I mark my hymnal pages with.
I'm sure when December rolls around I'll be scratching my head wondering where that page of my calendar went!
I colored the Hambo digi with Copics; the sentiment is a rubber stamp from "Studio 18", International Greetings. I think goes perfectly with this digi!
I also plan to post this for the color challenge sponsored by Paper & Such over at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog to use kraft, red, and black or blue. I love kraft, red and black together. With a touch of red gingham ribbon to finish it off, I ended up with a different take on a holiday card; what do you think?

Hambo Flowers for the Hoedown!
The challenge over at the Hambo Hoedown this week is to use their great new Flowers digi in autumn colors. I love paper piecing and was in a paper-piecin' mood so that's what I did! I used a Copic marker on the stems. It's a nice cheery card, don'tcha think?

"Falloween Cat" by Designed2Delight
I love this cute digi, part of the new freebie set from Designed 2 Delight's progressive challenge. This image has a kind of vintage Halloween feel, which I love. DP from Cosmo Cricket's "Matilda" 6x6 mini-deck. Colored with Copics.

OWH Midweek throwdown: Autumn cards
For this autumn card, I used the little Chubby Squirrel digi that was a freebie on the Stars & Stamps blog donated by A Day for Daisies. In my backyard in northern VA, the squirrels are mostly gray ones, so I decided to try that color scheme for the squirrel. I don't have a huge supply of Copics yet, so I used the grays I have, as well as black. The DP is "Thanksgiving Words" by DieCuts With a View. The sentiment is a rubber stamp by Stampin' Up. I wanted to surround the little gray squirrel with bright fall colors, so I added the row of flowers, with black brads to tie it in with the grays and the black mat.
Thanks for stopping by; hope you like my Chubby Squirrel card!

Anything but glitter!
The Midweek Throwdown Challenge at OWH is to make a card using anything but glitter! I used some DPs from a gorgeous little Echo Park 6x6 pad "Victorian Garden" that I got from Scrapbook.com. Double-sided, totally yummy papers!
The image is from Digital Two for Tuesday or her related blog Clearly Vintage; sorry I can't recall right now which blog! I had fun using a "friendship" sentiment for a change!
