A unique challenge at 55CCT!

I love a good card challenge! The challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is "Shades of Orange"! I thought of the box of oranges we receive every Christmas and found this vintage image. Then I looked through my paper stash and --stroke of good luck-- this dp from Teresa Collins' "Tell Your Story" 6x6 pad looks like orange and aqua poinsettias to me! I made the little "Joy" tag and added some Stickles to pump up the holiday feel. I'm not sure how well this works as a Christmas card, but I like how it looks and it was a fun challenge!

"White On White" Challenge at CIE!

Another new challenge for the New Year at Cards In Envy, where we make A2-sized cards that are nice and flat for mailing without extra postage and hassle!
Here's my White On White card, in the vintage style I love:

Music/singing card with image I drew

Hi. This is a special post for me this evening because I drew the image of the little boy! The theme at Frilly & Funkie Blog is "Sing, Sing, Sing!" I love to sing and love music, but I couldn't find any vintage image or stamp that inspired me...so I decided to draw my own. It was fun paper piecing my own image! I got the music notes off the web, colored and cut them out. The "JOY" stickers were in my stash.

My card may be more vintage style than frilly or funky but I had a lot of fun making it. Hope you like this!

New name/new challenge at a favorite blog!

Hi! You may have heard that the challenge blog called Words 2 Scrap By has a new name as of this week:  WORDS 2 CRAFT BY

New name, but the rules are the same--each new challenge gives words or a quote that we can interpret into a card! The new challenge is this quote:

"The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings."

Books and reading immediately came to my mind and I made this card:

Get well card for a child

I made this for a "bright spring and summer colors" challenge at a stamping group I belong to on FB. It definitely helped get my mojo going after being sick for a couple of weeks! Taking it slow but put together this simple little card:

Sweet'nSassy Stamps
Marvy button punch

Need to go upstairs and get name of dp. Thanks for dropping by!

"Shiny New Year" challenge at CIE!

Welcome and Happy New Year! "Shiny New Year" is the new challenge at Cards In Envy, where we make A2 sized cards that are nice and flat for mailing without extra postage.

I made this shaker card; the dp is sparkly silver and the acetate is shiny, although you can't tell in the photo! I love this vintage image from Digital Two for Tuesday.
