Frilly and Funkie challenge: It's Summer!

I made this for the Frilly and Funkie "It's Summer" challenge. I may be too late adding this link but next time I'll remember!
The pretty bicycle stamp I used is from Crafty Individuals.

A starburst and another banner card

Welcome! I had a lot of scraps around from a 6x6 Pebbles paper pad called "Family Ties." I decided to try the OWH starburst technique. After piecing the starburst and trimming it to make a card, I had this nice strip of starburst left over so I decided to make another banner card for OWH. Here's the banner card first:

And here's the starburst that I cut the banner strip from:

I haven't used this technique in ages and it was extra fun to get two cards out of it! Thanks for stopping by.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown

Making a Christmas card for this week's 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge seemed like a good way to beat the heat! The color challenge is Black & White + one other color. I chose red:

Digi: Stamper's Best
Copics
I just noticed one of my 3 tiny black pearls fell off. I had put them there to disguise a stamp Oops. The little typewriter key stickers are from Tim Holtz

Red, White & Blue challenge at Cards In Envy

For my red, white and blue card I chose this cute Melonheadz digi. Now I just need to find a little boy who has a July 4th birthday--any takers?

New OWH Sketch and my C.A.S.E.

Hi. I really like the new OWH Sketch:

And what really caught my eye was Cindy R's inspiration card:
It has a clean and simple look, but with an artistic background. I'm not good at either of those styles, I decided to get out my Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer tool, which I really haven't used, and try to C.A.S.E. Cindy's design.
I made the background spritzing Copics and then I added some inking with a stencil. I applied some white paint to a corrugated tag and let it dry overnight. I didn't have any Washi tape, so I tore a strip of paper and distressed it. Here's what I came up with:

Typical of me, my card lacks Cindy's Clean and Simple feeling but it was fun trying something "out of the   box" for me and I like how it turned out. I am working on cards for my final OWH box; cards are due by August 1st!
