New SCH Challenge theme: Dreaming of the Beach

Hi! Welcome to my blog for the start of a brand new two-week challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow: Dreaming of the Beach! I think by this point around much of the country we're ready for summer and the beach! We have a fantastic Guest Designer at SCH this time: Marie S. Check out her beautiful work at her blog, Primia!

I made the card below for the Design Team with a pretty vintage lady from "The Designer Magazine August 1901" (image provided by Digital Two for Tuesday). It's a black and white image, but I added a bit of color with Copics, enhanced the polka dots on her dress with white gel pen, and cut her out to place her on my background "scene".

I can't wait to see what you create and post at Sugar Creek Hollow!

Late for the OWH Super Bowl card party!

Late for the Super Bowl at OWH (team colors) but I thought I'd post this to say "Well done and better luck next year, Broncos!" The Broncos were hit by a juggernaut yesterday, weren't they? I like both teams and I am a Washington fan, where we know what football disappointment feels like, lol! I think I will still post this at the ODBD challenge (brown), even though I'm late for that party, too!

This Cuttlebug embossing folder reminded me a bit of Sandy's football stamping! I stamped with "Night" color pigment ink. Once again, I was reminded that pigment ink takes forever to dry. Time to get some new stamp pads! I added the clouds with a Hero Arts stamp and touched them up with a white pencil.  Thanks for stopping by! Great job, Seahawks!
