OWH Sketch & a wedding this SAT.!

It feels like forever since I've made/posted a card; I've been so busy getting ready for my son's wedding-- this Saturday!! I made a quick card using My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Sunshine dp; it was relaxing to get back to my crafting! I let the paper do the "talking" for this card, and there was a perfect spot on the dp to stamp a tiny sentiment. I used circle punches for the scallops. Here is the OWH sketch followed by my card:
And here's a photo of my son & his fiance (soon to be my lovely daughter-in-law)!
Can you tell how excited I am? I will be sure to post wedding photos after the happy event! Thanks for stopping by!

Midwk Throwdown Sample card--winter

Oops! I forgot to post the sample snowflake cards that Jan used for this week's Midweek Throwdown Challenge to make winter cards! Sorry. I made them several months ago, and I can only find one of the photos. I used the same stamp and punch for both cards. I hope a closer look at one of 'em is better than nothing! The stamp "Snow Much Fun" is Pure Innocence by My Favorite Things; the snowflake punch is from Martha Stewart. I colored this card with Copics (and paper pieced the othe one). Sorry I forgot to post this earlier; my son's wedding is two weeks from today and I'm a little distracted! Be sure to scroll down and see my "Winter Marci" post; that's a cute little winter-themed stamp. Have a good weekend!

Cute "Winter Marci" from LaLa Land Crafts

I got this stamp at the Great American Scrapbook Convention a couple of weeks ago; my first LaLa Land Crafts stamp. I'm always looking for stamps that are good for paper piecing; this little "Winter Marci" is wonderful for that. The DPs are My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Market Street. The tiny charm was in the blog candy Allison sent me recently! Glossy Accents; Copics. Here's Marci!

Cool challenge/cool sketch.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I recently bought this beautiful Impression Obsession stamp after taking a little card workshop at my LSS. I thought it would be great for the new Operation Write Home Sketch #128 (which I flipped). I stamped the image with Memento black; colored it with Copics and cut it into 3 strips. I made 5 layered flowers instead of hearts, using Stampin' Up's Boho Flower Punch and rhinestones. "Beautiful" sticker: Glitz Epoxy Words, Vintage Blue. I will also post this card for the July ODBD challenge, which is to use the cool side of the color wheel.

Happy 4th of July and an anniversary card

Hi! Happy Independence Day! I made this card for the OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge: anniversary cards. I used some goodies I picked up at the Great American Scrapbook Convention recently: Melissa Frances "Attic Treasures" 6x6 DP pad and matching sticker book. They also had baskets of this yummy seam binding/twill ribbon. I layered three of the MF stickers for my focal point; also used Stampin' Up Modern Label Punch and Word Window punch, as well as SU Teeny Tiny Wishes (thanks, Holley!). I also used one of the great Bonus Sketches that are available at the current OWH bloghop! Have a great holiday!

OWH Bonus sketch

My laptop bit the dust last Thursday and my son got me a new laptop yesterday and installed everything (bless him!). I am still finding my way around this new computer but I'm very glad to have it! For this card, I used the first Bonus Sketch (flipped) from the current international bloghop at OWH Stars and Stamps. The old Singer ad is from Clearly Vintage and the DP is "Sunshine", My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection:
