First Steampunk card

The challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow is to make a steampunk card. I thought it would be fun to try!

Butterfly key image: Beyond the Fringe Crafts
Steampunk background by Betsi Goutal at Squidoo.com
Antique brad - Stampin' Up
Tiny chain and mini binder clip - husband's desk drawer!
Ranger distress inks; silver gel pen; Copic sketch marker

I don't have a lot of "steampunk" type supplies so I tried to make do!
I had fun with this challenge!

Hambo and Hop Arts Designs

Big news at the Hambo Hoedown this week! Hambo has launched a new line of digis by Asela Hopkins of Hop Arts Designs. The proceeds from these digis benefit Operation Write Home! I missed the Hoedown because I was out of town, but I wasn't going to miss the chance to help OWH and celebrate Asela's cute designs! I purchased "Trena With Heart" to use for my card. It's colored with Copics, and the background paper is "Honey Cake - Six By Six" by My Mind's Eye, a new DP pad I just picked up.
Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day card after 3 week break!

Here's OWH Sketch 114, followed by my card:

DPs: "Lost & Found - Union Square" from My Mind's Eye

Glad to be back to card making after my three weeks' traveling, but I am so rusty I made a huge mess before arriving at one decent card! Thanks for stopping by!!

Hoedown and Throwdown

My card uses the new Monster Weights Digital Image from Hambo Stamps. I'm posting it at the Hambo Hoedown, of course, and also at the OWH Midweek Throwdown, where the challenge is to use digi stamps!
We were given this nice sketch for the Hambo Hoedown challenge:

Card details:
DPs: Memory Box "Viola" (except for green polka dot strip which is I'm not sure about)
Copics
My sister and I are heading West to CA on Sunday the 4th, to visit our little grand-nephews who lost their Mom last summer and to visit other friends. I'm sooo excited. I won't be making cards for 3 weeks but I'm going to write AnyHero notes and check my email and comments whenever I can. Take care and see you soon!
