Hambo Heart Basket & OWH Sketch Challenge #67

I decided to combine this week's Hambo Hoedown Challenge and the new OWH Sketch, #67. The challenge at Hambo is to use their pretty Heart Basket & sentiment digi with lots of lace and flowers. This is a really nice digi set to have because general "love" cards are always needed at OWH. I had a double-sided piece of BoBunny DP that I was eager to use. I really like the unique color combo. I Cuttlebugged the maroon side to "soften" it a bit; I made the flowers with the Stampin' Up BoHo Blossoms punch; I colored the Heart Basket with Marvy LePlume markers and Glossy Accents. I love the lace; I found it in the sale bin at A. C. Moore. I had to buy the entire roll, but it was only a dollar! Let me know if you need some lace, haha!

Any Hero Card for the OWH Midweek Throwdown!

I went back to the OWH Sketch archive and used #8 for my card. The stamp was a $1 find at Michael's. Thanks for stopping at my blog!

OWH Sketch #66

I used the new Sunday (4-24) Sketch #66 at www.owhstarsandstamps.org. I've been wanting to use my new owl punch from Stampin' Up.
Card ingredients:
Papers: DCWV The Linen Closet stack
Flowers: BoHo Flower punch (SU)
Owl: SU
Branch, sentiment and speech bubble: My Favorite Things set called "Thinking of Hoo?"
White gel pen; dark brown Marvy Leplume marker

I wanted flowers but didn't want them to be too girly, so the card could possibly be for either sex. So I punched and layered my own "flowers" with the Boho Punch. The flower to the right of the sentiment is there because the metal point fell off my Marvy LePlume marker and left a nice ink mark! So I added a flower to cover. Hopefully it doesn't look too random!

Hambo Hoedown 12: King [aka Partyer-in-Chief!]

I colored the King with my first new Copics marker and Marvy LePlume Markers, as well as gold gel pen. I made the banner text in Word and pieced it onto the banner. I added Glossy Accents to the crown and royal shoes. I found a neat little Recollections pad of foil paper at Michael's and used the Cuttlebug Fleur de Lis embossing folder. Need to run upstairs and get the name of the background paper!
Hope you like this! Thanks for stopping by!

Masculine card /Father's Day

We had a challenge to make masculine or unisex cards over at OWH today. I used Paula's cool vintage truck digi, my new silver gel pen, that cool Cuttlebug folder and EK border punch. Colored with Marvy LePlume marker and silver gel.

Monochromatic cards: OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge

The first card combines the monochromatic challenge and stickers. The second is made with Yolanda's cool digi of a Ford Fairlane. I'm not sure they were ever manufactured in that shade of blue (lol) but I was trying to coordinate with my paper. I made the sentiment in Word.

Circus Juggler: OWH Sketch 65

Since our OWH Blog Skip I'm still in the mood for playing with stickers! I used this week's OWH sketch (#65) again and since there's a challenge to OWH'ers to post 65 cards, I'll post this one, too. I hope you can see my card OK; I'm having issues with my camera and lighting tonight!
These Circus stickers are the first stickers I bought after I started with OWH last June! I bought them at The Paper Source. I don't know if they're still available. The DP is from "Camden" by 7Gypsies. I've had that ribbon in my stash and I honestly wasn't sure I liked it or if it would ever go with anything but it does! Ya never know!
Thanks for stopping by. I love company!
