Hi. It is very cold and windy out today; I stayed in for most of the day and got a couple of cards made, including this one. Coloring is totally relaxing therapy for me!
Stamp: Whimsie Doodles
Sentiment stamps: Mark's Finest Papers and Hero Arts
Hello and welcome!
I made this card for the current challenge at Words 2 Craft By: "The Magic of Beginnings". A friend of mine is retiring soon; he and his wife plant a wonderful garden every spring. I thought this digi from Mo's Digital Pencil would be perfect to congratulate my friend on his retirement and remind him that he will have more time to enjoy pursuits like his garden.
The new challenge at Frilly and Funkie Blog is "Three Is Not a Crowd" (use three of something in your card). My "three" are the three girls in this old photograph, as well as three buttons. I love this photo and am glad to have a way to use it. My "three girls" idea comes from my two younger sisters and I; we are the youngest of eight after my Mom had four boys in a row and we were always "the girls". Just 18 months apart, we were and are very close.
I haven't made vintage/shabby chic in ages and I am so glad to get back to it!
Welcome and Happy New Year!!
The new theme at Cards In Envy Challenge is Winter Chills:
"Create a card for all things winter, snow, ice, mittens, hats, scarves, snowmen, snowflakes, snowbirds, etc."
Here is the card I made for the Design Team at CIE. I love paper piecing!
