Hello! I know it's 'way early for 4th of July cards, but I love this Whimsie Doodles digi and the mid-month theme at OWH is red, white and blue. I based my card on this week's sketch at OWH, as well.

OWH reaches its 250th sketch!
Here is Operation Write Home's 250th card sketch!
The flower on the second card may be too thick for OWH but I like how this turned out:
I made two card based on the challenge. The birds on both cards are just parts of patterned paper in my stash:

I have been making cards for Operation Write Home since June 2010 and I learned early on to depend on their sketches! Thanks for stopping by; please come back soon!

The Animal World: CI challenge
The current challenge at Crafty Individuals is "The Animal World". I need lots more practice with mixed media, but it was a lot of fun getting messy with my Ranger Distress Inks and paint!

Thanks for stopping by; have a great weekend!

Hambo Hoedown March challenge
The March challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is "Folds". I decided to try making a pinwheel and I hope it qualifies as folded! I like the summer fun feel of this card with Hambo's penguin and, yes, the pinwheel turns! I had to make a 5x7 card instead of A2 so the pinwheel would fit!

Anything Tim challenge at A Vintage Journey
I haven't been able to join in the crafty fun at A Vintage Journey in a long time, but when I saw they are celebrating their one-year anniversary I really wanted to join in. I'm going to give this to my little great-niece for her birthday; her name begins with a "C". She is very young but I hope her mother will save it for her. I like to make tags that inspire girls to believe in their potential and follow their dreams! Tim's products are perfect for this.
I hope you enjoy my tag!

Another comfy chair card
We've been having a chair card/tag challenge at the FB paper crafting group and after I posted one I remembered this favorite digi stamp from Hambo Stamps "Wee Henrietta Reading." The dp's (except for the background brown polka dot dp) are freebie papers in the April 2015 issue of Stamper's Sampler "Take Ten" magazine.
Paper-pieced and colored with Copics
Thanks for stopping by. Say, have you read any good books lately? I need a book recommendation!

Yellow & gray coffee card!
I was looking around Etsy this morning for something and came across an awesome digi stamp set at Vera Lane Studioes! Talk about love at first sight, lol! I purchased it right away and decided to use it for Raeanna's yellow and gray challenge at our FB paper crafting group. The set comes with another sentiment "Coffee fixes everything", which I put on the inside of the card. I know I'll be going back to Vera Lane Studio!
Thanks for stopping by!

ODBD March Challenge at OWH: Sentiment
The new challenge at OWH sponsored by Our Daily Bread Designs is to make the sentiment the focal point. I really like this sentiment and the bright colors in this patterned paper. Martha Stewart butterfly.

W2SB challenge: "In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb"
The current challenge at Words2ScrapBy is "In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb", a great challenge for the weather we've all had, especially the folks in New England! It was a bit balmy here today in Northern Virginia but they're calling for 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow! So our March is definitely coming in like a lion.
As I browsed through one of my favorite vintage image websites, www.clearlyvintage.blogspot.com, I saw this image from an old children's magazine and thought it would be perfect for the challenge. I added some clouds to the background with a Hero Arts stamp to add to the blustery day feeling.
I just spoke to my brother in Florida; he said it's 85 and sunny there today...not too jealous!
Here's my card:

Inspired by a magazine photo
I was reading the current Yankee magazine issue and a photo from one of the articles inspired me to make a card; I love the vintage look, of course, the colors, the hobby horse and the painted floor and walls:
I used the new OWH Sketch 249 and added the ribbon for the Cards In Envy "Anything Goes: Add a Bow" challenge. I found the old-fashioned rocking horse digi at an Etsy shop called CuteAsAButtonDigis:

I'm definitely going to save this magazine photo for further ideas!! Thanks for stopping by.
