My oops is that I didn't see Nancy's challenge requirement that we make a winter or Christmas card. I was so excited to use her neat inchie sketch and embossing that my eyes missed that part and I made an autumn card. First, here's Nancy's great sketch, followed by my card.
The DP is Authentique's "Thankful" 6x6 pad. I love love how the design looks run through the Cuttlebug in Stampin' Up's "Textured Lattice" folder. That yummy mesh ribbon is some I recently ordered from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I love this neat idea for using inchies and embossing; thanks, Nancy! And thanks, Allison, for organizing the VCMP!!

Hambo's School Dog
Here's my card for the current Hambo Hoedown challenge (make a school-themed project), featuring their new School Dog digi. If you didn't get it free in last week's Hoedown, you can purchase it here.
I colored School Dog with Copics and I printed the sentiment in Word in white on black to give a chalkboard appearance. The DP is from the Oxford 6x6 pad by Basic Grey. I based my card on this week's sketch at OWH Stars & Stamps blog:
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a good week.

p.s. Did anybody notice that School Dog is dressed in the U.Va. colors! Go Cavaliers!

OWH Weekly Sketch #186 challenge
Hi! Here is this week's sketch at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog:
And here's a card I made. It was a rainy day, good for making cards, but nothing seemed to go right today--one of those days. So I decided to try a monochromatic card and got out the Stampin' Up bird punch and matching stamp that I haven't used in awhile. The black & ivory DP are from a pack I got at Michael's some time ago. I decided to add just a pop of cranberry red, so I got out the dreaded cranberry pigment ink, which is one of my favorites but takes forever to dry. You may think it's dry, but it usually isn't, lol. It's such a pretty color, tho! Then I added two nice flat buttons from JoAnn's.
The sentiment is a wood-mounted stamp I've had forever.
So, after a bit of crooked cutting and almost train wrecks, I think this turned out pretty! I also posted my card at Cards in Envy's "For the Birds" challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Stampers Best image
Hello! This was my day to use Stampers Best images--first the Camaro and now this great Soldier digi. I printed it on a sheet of baseball-themed scrapbook paper from A.C. Moore that has a chain link fence pattern on it. The DP is made by Trinity Crafts. I used this paper partly because I couldn't find any good camo-print DP at A.C. Moore and I thought it gave the soldier's uniform some texture and pattern, or looks like the shadow of a fence is cast on him. I fussy cut it out and adhered to a sandy color background. I haven't decided if this will be an AnyHero note or if I should use it as a regular thank you card for a hero to send home. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by; come back soon.

Cards In Envy: Rev It Up challenge
I am just making it under the wire for the Rev It Up challenge at Cards In Envy that closes tonight! Here's my card, which features a Stampers Best digital stamp. The sentiment is part of a Hampton Art Studio G rubber stamp that says "Dear Friend" but I just cut out the word "Friend" to probably make it better for a guy to send/receive:

Welcome! Here is this week's Operation Write Home sketch challenge #185:

DP: Authentique 6x6 pad "Thankful" collection
SRM Sticker
Marvy Button Punch and EK Success border punch
Trying to get that autumn mojo going! Thanks for stopping by!
