New name/new challenge at a favorite blog!

Hi! You may have heard that the challenge blog called Words 2 Scrap By has a new name as of this week:  WORDS 2 CRAFT BY. 

New name, but the rules are the same--each new challenge gives words or a quote that we can interpret into a card! The new challenge is this quote:

"The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings."

Books and reading immediately came to my mind and I made this card:

Get well card for a child

I made this for a "bright spring and summer colors" challenge at a stamping group I belong to on FB. It definitely helped get my mojo going after being sick for a couple of weeks! Taking it slow but put together this simple little card:

"Shiny New Year" challenge at CIE!

Welcome and Happy New Year! "Shiny New Year" is the new challenge at Cards In Envy, where we make A2 sized cards that are nice and flat for mailing without extra postage.

I made this shaker card; the dp is sparkly silver and the acetate is shiny, although you can't tell in the photo! I love this vintage image from Digital Two for Tuesday.

"Let It Snow!"

Greetings! The new theme starting today at Cards In Envy is "Let It Snow", perfect for these days before Christmas! We always hope for a white Christmas in the DC area, but they are few and far between! Still we hope! Maybe these 3 little snowmen will bring us a little bit of the white stuff!

The challenge at Words 2 Scrap By is the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas." I found this little vintage image Digital Two for Tuesday and it reminded me of the lines from the poem: "When what to my wondering eyes did appear but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer!"

Hello and welcome! There's a new challenge today starting at Cards In Envy: "A Very Vintage Christmas." For my card, I used a beautiful old royalty-free image from a blog called Clearly Vintage, a companion blog to Digital Two for Tuesday.

I love this festive image and it was fun picking out complementary dp's and ribbon!
