Lovely sentiment goes well with butterfly!
This card uses OWH's Sketch #71. I spotted this sentiment (a Hampton Arts rubber stamp from Michael's) and thought it was perfect to be paired with a butterfly! The papers are from The Garden Stack. The ink is Stampin' Up Early Espresso and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. Thanks for stopping by!

Cheeseburger card: trying something new
Our Midweek Throwdown challenge at OWH is to try a new technique from among the tutorials on the Stars & Stamps blog, so I thought it would be fun to try the cheeseburger card! The bandanna paper & burger paper are from DCWV The Green Stack. I just realized I forgot the lettuce! Oops! See you at the big Memorial Day Bloghop tomorrow! I'll be out buying a cheeseburger...

Green cheese moon!
Each week Hambo Stamps gives a free digi to those who participated in the previous week's Hambo Hoedown! This week's new digi is "Moonscape" and I combined it with another Hambo digi called Geronimouse! These and other fun, funny and punny images are at www.hambostamps.com!
My background paper is by Paper Pizazz, with little gold star stickers added. I added texture by using Sakura puff pens on the "parachutes" and white Stickles on the Moonscape. I created the sentiment. On the inside of the card it says "Dream Big!"
I was curious so I looked up the expression "the moon is made of green cheese". Turns out, it's quite ancient, having started with a fable of a person or animal seeing the reflection of the moon in a pond, thinking it was a wheel of cheese, and jumping in to try to get it. Ha! I never knew. The expression "green" cheese means soft cheese not quite ripe!! I love finding out where expressions came from.
I hope you like these 3 happy Geronomice landing in cheese heaven! It was fun to combine two Hambo digis to tell a story!

OWH Sketch Challenge 70
Here's my card using Sketch #70! I trimmed the edges of the circle more-or-less successfully with some decorative scissors which I had banished to the back of my desk drawer. They are once again banished. I punched out one butterfly, popped it up with a glue dot and added the tiny pearls. Here are my card details:
DPs: "Minuet" 6x6 paper collection from Memorybox, Inc.
Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart
Sentiment: Idea House, designed for G (Hampton Arts)
I love it when you visit! Come back soon.

Sumo Digi: by Hambo Stamps!
This is the cute new "Sumo: digi by Hambo Stamps". Our requirement for this week was to use chipboard. I had this chipboard swirl/flourish and large photo corner in my stash. I colored them black and coated them with Glossy Accents. I like the way they turned out -- kind of like patent leather! I even put some GA on his hair for a little extra glitz! Be sure to visit www.hambostamps.com to check out all their cute, fun and punny stamps and digis!

Hamming It Up at the Movies: the Bloghop!
Welcome to "Hamming It Up at the Movies!" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! I'm the second stop on the hop, so if you arrived at my blog from "Talk to the Ham", the Hambo blog at http://hambostamps.blogspot.com/ you're in the right place!
Today, customers and Hambo's Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict movie titles. Our challenge was to use a favorite movie or just one that was fun to design. Here's my card/collage. Can you guess my film title?
Did you guess it?
The 1956 film, Lust for Life, starring Kirk Douglas.
I have been eager to use Hambo's digi stamp called "Painter" which you can find at www.hambostamps.com/digishop/people/painter/ .
I love the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh. The movie of his life is definitely not a happy film but it's inspiring! Kirk Douglas did an amazing acting job and I found it so interesting to see how Van Gogh developed from drawing to painting. Van Gogh suffered from mental illness and self-doubt throughout his troubled life. He never knew the joy his paintings have brought to so many people. I was thrilled to find this sentiment stamp (Hampton) which expresses my admiration perfectly!
I colored the Hambo Painter image and drew my little version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" on the "canvas" with a combo of Copics and Marvy LePlume markers. My main goal/challenge with the collage was to keep the Hambo image as focal point. I distressed the elements in the background so they would recede and the focal point would be prominent.
Card details:
Copic, Marvy LePlume markers
Stickles
Star stickers
Sunflower paper: K&Company
Other background paper: Shutterstock.com
EK Success border punch
Cuttlebug Traffic Jam embossing folder
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Orange Marmalade
Corner stamp: Ink-Adink-Ado
Sentiment Stam: Hampton Arts
I love making collages. I needed a little more space, so I made a bigger size card than usual.
Your next stop on this fun hop through movieland is Karin at http://karin-withaniforpaper.blogspot.com . Thanks for visiting my blog and have lots of Hambo-sized fun!
