Hamming It Up at the Movies: the Bloghop!

Welcome to "Hamming It Up at the Movies!" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! I'm the second stop on the hop, so if you arrived at my blog from "Talk to the Ham", the Hambo blog at http://hambostamps.blogspot.com/ you're in the right place!
Today, customers and Hambo's Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict movie titles. Our challenge was to use a favorite movie or just one that was fun to design. Here's my card/collage. Can you guess my film title?
Did you guess it?
The 1956 film, Lust for Life, starring Kirk Douglas.
I have been eager to use Hambo's digi stamp called "Painter" which you can find at www.hambostamps.com/digishop/people/painter/ .
I love the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh. The movie of his life is definitely not a happy film but it's inspiring! Kirk Douglas did an amazing acting job and I found it so interesting to see how Van Gogh developed from drawing to painting. Van Gogh suffered from mental illness and self-doubt throughout his troubled life. He never knew the joy his paintings have brought to so many people. I was thrilled to find this sentiment stamp (Hampton) which expresses my admiration perfectly!
I colored the Hambo Painter image and drew my little version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" on the "canvas" with a combo of Copics and Marvy LePlume markers. My main goal/challenge with the collage was to keep the Hambo image as focal point. I distressed the elements in the background so they would recede and the focal point would be prominent.
Card details:

Copic, Marvy LePlume markers
Stickles
Star stickers
Sunflower paper: K&Company
Other background paper: Shutterstock.com
EK Success border punch
Cuttlebug Traffic Jam embossing folder
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Orange Marmalade
Corner stamp: Ink-Adink-Ado
Sentiment Stam: Hampton Arts

I love making collages. I needed a little more space, so I made a bigger size card than usual.
Your next stop on this fun hop through movieland is Karin at http://karin-withaniforpaper.blogspot.com . Thanks for visiting my blog and have lots of Hambo-sized fun!
